The fashion elite poured into Milan this week for one of Europe’s most prominent fashion events – Milan Fashion Week.
The he biggest names in Italian fashion will host catwalk shows to showcase their SS18 collections – think Gucci, Marni, Moschino and Versace – and they tend to draw the crowds, so expect to see the crème de la crème of celebrities, fashion influencers and press on the front row.

Milan Fashion Week – The good and the great brought star power to fashion’s drive to sustainability as they joined Carlo Capasa, Chairman Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (CNMI) and Livia Firth, Founder and Creative Director, Eco-Age for the inaugural Green Carpet Fashion Awards, Italia.
The world of fashion came together at Teatro alla Scala to celebrate Italian producers that champion community and social justice, traditional craftsmanship and innovation and technological transformation. For the very first time, the unique awards put sustainability – arguably the most important movement for humankind – at the heart of fashion in a ceremony fit for the Oscars, including a show stopping award produced by Chopard in certified Fairmined* gold.

Vogue Italia ‘The New Beginning’ Party
On September 22, Milan’s Ex Scalo Farini held Vogue Italia’s ‘The New Beginning’ party. Hosted by the magazine’s editor-in-chief, Emanuele Farneti, the party saw Riccardo Tisci assume the role of the night’s creative director and welcomed performances from the likes of Kettenakarussell and Sky Ferreira, as well as guests including the Hadid sisters, Claudia Schiffer and Naomi Campbell.

Swarovski Crystal Wonderland Party
Swarovski celebrated the launch of its annual holiday campaign over night with one heck of a party. Opening Milan Fashion Week, Swarovski and its brand ambassador Karlie Kloss chauffeured a long list celebrities and VIP media (including our very own group publisher Alison Rice) from Milan to a private villa, which took on an alias of Swarovski’s Crystal Wonderland for the evening. The guests mingled around a picturesque Christmas tree featuring images of the Holiday campaign stars.
An exclusive dinner followed, where 100 guests were flown in from around the world, had the honour of watching Andrea Bocelli sing Christmas classics. He was introduced by lady of the hour, Karlie, who dined at a table with Naomi Campbell.
