Celebrity Style News : Sergey Lazarev at the 2016 New Wave Song Festival

The 2016 Russian Eurovision representative Sergey Lazarev rocked Sochi last week at the 2016 New Wave Song Festival which was held on the coastal city throughout last week.

Sergey Lazarev co-hosted the 2016 New Wave Song Festival in Sochi and treated his fans and the audience with several performances throughout the week. He has co- hosted the competition many times.

Sergey Lazarev shot to fame when he won the 2002 New Wave Song Festival as part of Smash!!! along Vlad Topalov. He has come a long way since his early days. Today Sergey is a household name both in Russia and in the neighbouring countries.

The Russian superstar represented Russia at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm achieving an honorable 3rd place in the Grand Final, with his entry You are the only one.

The 2016 New Wave Song Festival was held in Sochi from 03-09 September. A grand line up of Russian and international celebrities graced the ocassion, including many former Eurovision acts both from Russia and neighbouring countries: Philip Kirkorov (Russia 1994), Ani Lorak (Ukraine 2008), Alyona Lanskaya (Belarus 2013), Polina Gagarina (Russia 2015) and Alexey Vorobyov (Russia 2011). World famous act Ricky Martinshook Sochi with his Latin dancing and beats.

In June Sergey Lazarev was awarded the Singer (Artist) of the Year MUZ TV Award.
