Spanish Royal Couple attends Easter Sunday’s mass in Majorca

It is tradition for the Spanish royals to spend Easter on the Spanish island

It has been six months since their last public appearance so it came as no surprise that hundreds of well-wishers lined the streets to welcome the Spanish Princesses to Mallorca today.

Leonor, ten and Sofia, eight, joined their mother Queen Letizia and father King Felipe and their grandmother Queen Sofia at the cathedral in Palma de Mallorca for Easter mass.

Queen Letizia abandoned all traces of winter, ditching heavy coats and dark colours in favour of a bold fuchsia jacket.

Her handsome husband wore a blue suit.

King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain attended the opening of the exhibition ‘Miguel de Cervantes: the Myth of Life (1616-2016)’ at National Library on March 4, 2016 in Madrid, Spain.

Felipe matched his wife in a single-breasted grey suit worn with a purple tie and matching striped shirt
