David Beckham and Kevin Hart star in new H&M autumn 2015 campaign

Today David Beckham’s short film with Belstaff has been released as well as his latest H&M campaign. In summary, today is a good day.

The soccer star and comedian team up in H&M’s upcoming Modern Essentials campaign.

This year, for the fall H&M Modern Essentials campaign, David Beckham shares the spotlight with actor and comedian Kevin Hart in a video trailer.

The clothing brand released a teaser of the video on September 22, in which Beckham is told that Hart wants to play him in a biopic about the sports star.

To prepare for the role, Hart comically “shadows” Beckham, not just wearing the same outfits, but also living with him and attempting a British accent.

The full video will be available on the H&M website from September 28, and the collection will be in stores from October 2.

After years on the football field, he has has been making steps towards starting an acting career.

Last night he launched a fashion film with Belstaff (a brand he’s fronted campaigns for in the past), which sees him play a mysterious motorbike stuntman, who rescues a beautiful circus performer from her nightmare boss.

Shot in Mexico, the inspiration for the film, entiled Outlaws, was Sergio Leone’s Dollars trilogy in which Clint Eastwood stars as “a man of few words but many squints” – the same goes for Beckham in his Belstaff film. He is almost offensively handsome, all moody and strong.

The short (it’s just over 15 minutes long) also stars Oscar-nominated Harvey Keitel, whose acting credits include Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction and Taxi Driver. Apparently, he sent Beckham a bunch of lilies on their first day of filming, with a note reading: “It takes a man to give another man flowers.”

The former England international was joined at the premiere by co-star Cathy Moriarty and director Geremy Jasper.

David has been the face of Belstaff for two years, after launching the brand’s flagship store in Bond Street during London Fashion Week in September 2013.
